Operation Red Nose Thompson has been providing a safe ride service getting the community members of Thompson and their vehicles home safely each year in the season of Christmas and holiday parties. Every year almost all of the donations collected go to local youth organizations. While these organizations change based on which ones have applied each year, some common ones include local youth hockey, Air Cadets, and dance programs.
In Thompson youth organizations apply to receive donations from our yearly fundraising campaign. These donations are then used by the organizations to help reduce or eliminate costs for the families of youth trying to get out and be a part of the community through sports like hockey and dance, or through other organizations such as the Air Cadets. Donations are commonly used to cover things like registration fees, equipment, and various other items that a family would otherwise be responsible for fundraising for on their own.
From December 1st to 31st, 2020, Operation Red Nose will be deploying a road safety awareness campaign and will allow its local host organizations to collect donations.
Did you know that donations raised help support local youth and amateur sports projects? This year, no need to wear the red vest to help your community. With a few clicks, you can make a donation or help raise funds for your local organization. Take the reins and support your community!
